World famous rapper Snoop Dogg was arrested by Swedish police in the town Uppsala, north of Stockholm, in july last year. The incident happened after a concert in the area and Snoop Dogg was taken to the police station for a urine test.

The initial drug test suggested that the rapper was under influence when he was arrested but the test was not conclusive enough in itself and the police had to to wait for the lab test, which took several months.

Now the final results of the drug test has arrived to the Uppsala police who now can be sure: Snoop Dogg was stoned when he got arrested.

– The result shows that Snoop Dogg had cannabis in his body at the time he was in Uppsala, says Magnus Hänström, investigation officer at Uppsala police.

But Snoop Dogg won't be prosecuted for the crime. The police can't prove that the US rapper was smoking the illegal drug in Sweden.

– When we pulled his car over in the roadside control he showed a certificate that he was allowed to smoke cannabis in some states in the US, as a medical treatment. The police can't prove that he was using drugs outside the legal areas, says Magnus Hänström.
